Laura & Kevin

I had looked forward to Laura and Kevin’s wedding from the moment I spoke with Laura. There is no way to narrow down the many images that I want to share from this day, so I am going to do it in two blogs. This first part of their wedding is from their wedding day preparations at their condo. My wonderful second, Beth, was with the guys, while I was with Laura.

Laura’s dress was one of my favorites, she wore her mother’s wedding dress. It was beautiful, classic and fit Laura like a glove! Beth took the guys to the rooftop of their Logan Square Condo for some portraits which had a great view of the Logan Square center. It did rain most of the day, but Mother Nature was kind enough at times, and we could still do grab some outdoor shots. Laura and Kevin had their first look in the corridor of their condo, which was perfect because that is where their love story began (but more on that next time!).

Chicago has some beautiful churches! After a lovely ceremony at St. Matthias Parish, we headed over to the reception at Dank Haus German American Cultural Center. Dank Haus was a great space to host all of the couple’s family and friends, it was evident that Laura and Kevin are loved by many. From food, laughs, dancing, even late night snacks, it was one fun night. Laura and Kevin, I enjoyed every minute of my time capturing your big day. Thank you for having me!
