Alexia and Eric are the sweetest high school sweethearts. Our conversations were mostly over the phone since they live in California. However, their wedding was going to be here in Chicago, which is where they are originally from. Even though it called for all-day rain, it stopped at the perfect time and Alexia and Eric had one of the most beautiful days this spring.
My day started at the church, St. Raphael the Archangel. This church seems to be in the middle of nowhere because of all the real estate it occupies; (8-10 mins away from Gurnee Mills) it is a stunning church and land.
After exchanging I do’s, we walked outside for a traditional bubble reception. Afterward, we went back inside for some quick family formals before heading out to Cantigny Park in Wheaton for bridal portraits. I was able to steal 5-10 mins. for some quick bridal shots outside of the church because the light and pillar colors were so beautiful there and these were the first photos on this blog, It was so much fun! Congrats to the newlyweds.
We headed to the reception at River Run Club House, covered some awesome speeches, the wonderful toasts to the sweethearts, and there was even a bit of dancing. It was so much fun! Congrats to the newlyweds.
Also, a quick shoutout to my second photographer who was my voice (literally) as I had none that day! Thank you for all you did, Cristina!
