I had so much fun with these two. Where do I even start?! For the record, as I look back at the anniversary session, it was extremely hard to pick just a handful of their images to share!
I met Mandy at a Chicago networking event a couple of years ago and we worked together not long after. Her personality is infectious — I immediately felt as if I’ve known Mandy for years. When I met Tim, I said to myself…”He compliments her perfectly!” Mandy & Tim’s relationship made this session so fun and sweet to capture.
Mandy and I discussed styling for our elegant first look, which complemented the venue; pure elegance. I told them to treat themselves and dress it up black-tie style! Mandy looked gorgeous, as always (a secret between you and I — I am obsessed with Mandy’s hair, it’s gorgeous!).
We met for their session on a chilly but sunny, cold, February, Sunday morning at the Art Institute of Chicago in downtown. I couldn’t believe there was a long line forming to get in, and so I got in line first to make sure we beat some of the crowd and it worked! We started at a perfect time before it got really busy and Mandy and Tim just rocked their session.
Later, we changed, got comfortable and warm, and headed out to Michigan Ave (which for the most part was empty on this winter day). Right after, we ended with a quick visit to Starbucks for a warm drink.
I was honored to photograph another beautiful friend and fellow #bossbabe, Mandy is the beautiful and talented owner of Bridal Makeup Artist | Chicago | Makeup by Mandy. She did the hair and make-up for our session. Happy Anniversary to the both of you!
